La Liga predictions for Valladolid-Valencia
Real Valladolid hosts Valencia at the Estadio Municipal Jose Zorrilla in a game from the 18th round of La Liga. Let us take a look at it in our La Liga predictions for this week.
Real Valladolid have a certain pattern under the management of Sergio. For a second consecutive year they are a team which does not concede a lot of goals, but is also not scoring a lot. Because of this right now Valladolid are 15th in the standings with 19 points, which is not great, but is also not terrible.
In terms of current shape Real Valladolid can improve. In their last five games they won just two points, which is not the best they can do. Sergio’s biggest problem is the problems which his team has in attack – so far Valladolid have scored just 14 goals in the league.
Last week Real Valladolid suffered a defeat during their visit to Getafe. Sergio put his typical 4-4-2 team on the pitch at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, but the hosts secured the win with goals from Cucurella and Angel.
Valencia approach this game from 8th place in the standings and with 27 points in their record. Los Che won 7 points in their last three games, which is a pretty solid performance. They would like to keep this level.
In the previous round Valencia hosted Real Madrid at the Mestalla and almost won, but the game ended with a 1-1 draw. Carlos Soler opened the score for Los Che in the 78th minute, but the hosts had the terrible luck to concede a goal in the 95th minute. This is when Karim Benzema equalised for Los Blancos.
In our La Liga predictions we expect a good game between Real Valladolid and Valencia. Because of the hosts we think we are not going to witness a lot of goals between these two teams, but let’s see.
