English Premier League predictions for Newcastle – Norwich

Newcastle United faces Norwich City at the St. James’ Park in a game from the 25th round of the Premier League on Saturday. That’s our English Premier League predictions for this fixture in Northern England. Let’s begin!

Being unbeaten in their last three games, Newcastle United are now 14th in the Premier League standings with 30 points won. Their record in the league goes like this: 8 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses. This was a season of ups and downs for the Magpies, who are managed by Steve Bruce in his first season in the club.

How we said, Newcastle are unbeaten in their last three matches in the league, winning once and doing two draws. In the previous round the Magpies had a tough visit to Everton in Liverpool, but secured a point after a 2-2 draw. It was an amazingly dramatic ending of the game because Newcastle scored two goals in the injury time of the match – in the 94th and the 95th minute. It was the substitute Florian Lejeune who scored the two equalising goals for Newcastle. Maybe he’s going to get a start in the next game?

Norwich City are not in a very pleasant situation at the moment. The Canaries are 20th in the league with 17 points, while the safe zone is 6 points away. That’s not an impossible gap to reduce, but the problem is that Norwich are not winning points often enough.

In the previous round Norwich City had a difficult visit to Tottenham Hotspur in London, which they lost with 1-2. Teemu Pukki scored for the visitors, but Spurs scored one more and won.

Being at home, Newcastle United should be considered favourites against Norwich City on Saturday. The Magpies are decent when playing at the St. James’ Park, so for the visitors it won’t be an easy one.
