AFC Bournemouth hosts Burnley at the Vicarage Road in a game from the 18th round
AFC Bournemouth hosts Burnley at the Vicarage Road in a game from the 18th round of the Premier League. Just as aways we will take a look at this match in our English Premier League predictions.
After a long and very disturbing run of consecutive losses, Bournemouth finally won again. This happened in the previous round when Eddie Howe’s boys surprisingly beat Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. The game was decided in the 84th minute when Dan Gosling converted an assist from Jefferson Lerma and put the ball behind Kepa’s back.
After this win Bournemouth took a breath of air and climbed up to 14th place in the standings. Right now the Cherries have 19 points and they would like to keep this level of performance in the next games. Beating Chelsea at the Bridge is always a something which gives you better confidence.
Bournemouth are not a bad team, but they were in a very bad run of results. If the win against Chelsea helps them regain their confidence, this would be great for the Cherries.
Burnley also put a run of three consecutive losses in the league by beating Newcastle United with 1-0 at the Turf Moor. Chris Woods scored the winning goal in the game after an assist from Ashley Westwood. This was Burnley’s 6th win for the season. The manager Sean Dyche must be really happy that his boys finally won again after three losses in a row.
Against Bournemouth Burnley can’t use the Ivorian Kevin Long, who’s injured. Meanwhile the Cherries will be without David Brooks, Nathan Ake and Callum Wilson.
That’s our English Premier League predictions for the game between Bournemouth and Burnley on Saturday. Both clubs won their last games, so we expect to see two confident teams on the pitch. Bournemouth have the home advantage, but Burnley are hungry for wins.
