Let’s look at our English Premier League predictions

One week after their first defeat in the Premier League for the season, Manchester United have to step up and get back on the right path against Southampton. These two teams will meet at the St. Mary’s on Saturday. Let’s look at our English Premier League predictions.

Few people expected that Manchester United will crumble like this against Crystal Palace at the Old Trafford. The visitors caused the first big uspet for the season, beating the Red Devils with 2-1 at their own fortress. The fans at the Old Trafford didn’t have any other choice, but to boo their players while they are leaving the pitch.

After scoring four goals against Chelsea in their first home game for the campaign, the Red Devils looked surprisingly poor in attack against Palace. At halftime the visitors got one goal lead, thanks to Jordan Ayew’s strike in the 32th minute.

United had to wait until the last few minutes of the game, when they managed to equalise. It was the new signing Daniel James who beat Guaita with a beautiful shot. But Crystal Palace were not done, because in the 93th minute David de Gea didn’t react very well and concede a goal after a shot from Patrick van Aanholt.

Meanwhile Southampton finally won their first points for the new season. The Saints got beaten in the first two rounds, but last week they finally won. Ralph Hassenhuttl’s boys travelled to the American Express and enjoyed a very comfortable 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. Moussa Djenepo and Nathan Redmond scored for the visitors, while Brighton & Hove’s Florin Andone was sent off in the first half.

That’s our English Premier League predictions for the game between Southampton and Manchester United at the St. Mary’s. These two teams had completely different experiences in the previous round. Let’s see how they will do when they meet on Saturday.
