Getafe hosts Deportivo Alaves at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez

Getafe hosts Deportivo Alaves at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in a game from the third round of La Liga. Let’s take a look at this fixture in our La Liga predictions for today.

Last season Getafe almost qualified for the Champions League, but now they didn’t start the new season in the best way possible. They won just one point from the first two rounds, being currently 16th in the league standings.

Getafe started the season with a loss against Atletico in Madrid, which was followed by a draw against Athletic Bilbao at home. Raul Garcia opened the score for the Basques, but soon after this Mata equalised for the hosts. Until the end of the game both teams didn’t score any goals.

Getafe are much better than this as we saw last season. The manager Bordalas is doing a very good job with the team, so we expect to see a different face against Alaves.

Deportivo Alaves on the other hand started the new season better, winning four points from the first two games. In the first round Asier Garitano debuted as a manager with a win over Levante, while last week Alaves shared the points with Espanyol after a 0-0 draw at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.

Getafe’s manager Bordalas can’t use some of his players for the next game. Amath Ndiaye, Filip Manojlovic and Antunes are all missing the game against Alaves because of injuries.

Meanwhile the visitors can’t use Ximo Navarro and Burgui who are also recovering at the moment.

In our La Liga predictions we can conclude that maybe it’s time for Getafe to record a first win for the season. But the hosts are going to need to show their best game, because Deportivo Alaves showed some good level in the first two rounds. It’s going to be interesting, no doubt about that.
